My husband is going to play at an open mic this weekend at a local pub. He's played guitar for about 15 years but this will be his first time really playing in public. We're each slowly working towards our goals...very s l o w l y. We are big fans of The Tortoise and the Hare story.

How awesome that you commensurated your husband's big step with this collage. It is beautiful. I recognized him immediately...even down to the plaid, wool shirt.
All your pieces give me goose bumps and quite often bring tears...especially this one. There's no need to move quickly toward your goals...as you know, it's the journey not the destination that matters most.

i love this! for lots of reasons but the spectrum of colors coming out beneath him is my favorite part. really, really nice.
